We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join the AdPredictive Technology team in our Kansas City office.  We are a diverse group of open-minded, hardworking individuals who know how to both have fun and get things done.  Our infrastructure is 100% cloud based, leveraging a wide array of open source and commercial technologies. This role would primarily be responsible for maintaining our data infrastructure and making data accessible to business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering: Build and manage efficient, scalable ETL pipelines in the AWS cloud
  • Database Administration: Serve as a primary resource in general cloud-based database administration
  • Data Automation: Collaborate with engineering and client services teams on data automation opportunities
  • Data Quality Assurance: Develop and improve data quality and cleansing procedures
  • Data Compliance: Contribute to maintaining AdPredictive’s SOC 2 compliance certification, and take part in associated audit activities
  • Strategy: Participate with the greater AdPredictive team in shaping company level initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Data / ETL Engineering & integration experience
  • 3+ years experience with Python software development
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL
  • Experience with AWS cloud ecosystem
  • Experience with ETL / dependency management frameworks such as Airflow
  • Experience with Docker
  • Comfortable working with the Linux command line
  • Data modeling skills with a focus on data warehousing
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to express complex ideas
  • Express desire and curiosity for learning new technologies
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas, and to influence and set a collaborative cadence for the team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Redshift/Postgres
  • Experience with ETL / dependency management frameworks such as Airflow
  • Experience with Spark/PySpark/EMR 
  • Experience with Kubernetes
